This affordable solution allows you to combine your CCTV analog, HD-CVI and IP cameras all on one digital security recorder. This 8 camera DVR can accommodate any combination of these cameras, which is beneficial to those of you who have a few existing analog cameras and want to start upgrading to High Definition security recording. You can record either IP cameras or HD-CVI cameras at 1080p at 30fps, and record your analog cameras at up to 960H at 30fps. All of our analog cameras are 960H as well as D1. For IP cameras, this "Tribrid" security recorder can accommodate up to 2 IP cameras.

1080p (2MP) TRUE HD Resolution gives a more detailed recording than standard D1 or (even 960H) recording of analog systems. With HDCVI High Definition and IP Megapixel, you can zoom into a recording to see detail, whereas in the past your image would get highly pixelized. The difference could be an arrest versus not being able to distinguish any obvious features when you give your recordings over to the authorities.

HDCVI allows for High Definition recording over standard coax cable, so you can use the same cable and power you would for analog cameras. That means if you have an existing analog security system and want to upgrade to 1080p True HD, you can leave your existing cable in place. There will be no need of the extra cost and worry of re-wiring, just replace your existing analog DVR and cameras with this HDCVI DVR and HDCVI cameras and you will now be able to record at 2mp at an affordable price. For IP cameras, you will need an external PoE (Power over Ethernet) switch. Keep in mind that this DVR uses a combination of 8 cameras, so for example if you have 3 existing analog cameras, you have 5 more channels to work with using HD-CVI, IP or both.
